OBSERVED — Two Peoria police motorcycles at the corner of North Sheridan and West Main, one of the tearing off after a motorist who turned from west-bound Main north of Sheridan.

I was turning left onto West Main from northbound Sheridan. In my rear view mirror I see, not 1 or 2, but 3 taxis follow me into the intersection. All from different companies. Odd.

OBSERVED: Twice in one half hour, an ambulance turning west from northbound Bourland onto Main Street. Sirents and lights running.

OBSERVED: Lots of lights and sirens running on Illinois Route 8. On the way home, Deputy parked in from the the Dormitory on Farmington Road. Then a city car parked in the lot at North and West Main.

Observed: That big green building at the corner of Bourland and West Main Street where Haddad’s.Restaurant used to be, now sitting empty, with signs in every window pleading with someone, anyone. to rent the place. Two doors down, the now smaller Haddad’s Restaurant is filled with happy, contented customers.
